Water Rights

Ms. Martinsson is a member of Holland & Hart's natural resources department, focusing primarily on water rights. Ms. Martinsson advises municipal, developer, ski-area, and individual clients in water court litigation and related administrative proceedings, including water right adjudications, changes, and complex plans for augmentation. She also assists clients in the evaluation, leasing, and acquisition of water rights and in the development of water supplies. In addition to her water rights practice, Ms. Martinsson has substantial experience in the federal environmental permitting aspects of project development, including the National Environmental Policy Act, the Endangered Species Act, and the Clean Water Act.
Ms Martinsson was an associate at Holland & Hart from 2001-2006. Ms. Martinsson returned to Holland & hart after practicing with Johnson & Repucci LLP from 2006-2008. While in law school, Ms. Martinsson was a research assistant for Professor David Getches and Professor James Corbridge, working on Colorado water law issues. She also served on the editorial board of the Colorado Journal of International Environmental Law and Policy and on the board of the Environmental Law Society.
